Overall: 9/10

💰 Value: 9/10 for a special occasion

🎥 What you get: A viewpoint you cannot capture yourself during the flight

📱 Should you still use your phone? Yes—especially during takeoff

💸 We’d pay up to: About $50

❌ Skip it if: This is a casual flight and you do not care about keeping footage

✅ We’d buy it again: Yes

One of the reasons the video felt worth buying: the camera gets a view you cannot recreate from your seat.

Why phone footage is not quite the same

I did use my phone during takeoff, and I recommend doing that if the crew allows it. Having your own first-person view makes the memory feel more personal. But your phone can only capture what you can safely point it toward while sitting in the aircraft.

The HD footage adds a completely different angle. During the aerobatics in particular, that outside perspective is what makes the video fun to watch later. You actually see the plane and your reaction instead of just a shaky view of the sky.

Use your phone for your own viewpoint too—the two kinds of footage complement each other.

When I would buy it

When I would skip it

If you have done the flight before, are trying to keep the experience on a strict budget, or simply never rewatch travel videos, this is the easiest add-on to cut. The flight itself is still the main event.

THE VERDICT: At roughly $50, yes. We would buy the HD footage again for a special-occasion flight—and still take some phone video of our own.

Worth It Florida note: The $49.99 price shown was the posted HD video price during our visit and may change.
